O'PEN BIC AUSTRALIAN CUP 2011
GREAT LAKES SAILING CLUB, FORSTER, Australia
21 - 25 APRIL 2011
Seventy four O'pen Bics and their families decended on the Great Lakes Sailing Club at Forster over the Easter long weekend to compete in the 2011 O'pen Bic Australian Cup. 
 
Competitors travelled from WA, SA, NT, NZ, NSW, QLD, VIC for an exciting long weekend of racing in light conditions.
 
The regatta was a combination of Pointscore Races (Gold and Silver Fleets), Freestyle events and Adventure races. 
 
The Freestyle events were sailed in pairs in a series of knockout heats, judged by a panel. 
 
Adventure races, both single and tandum were around a course which included compulsory capsize drills and beach / bush runs, including obstacles.
 
Kids had a fantastic time, enjoyed the entire event, made new friends and had great fun. 
 
Great lakes Sailing Club were oustanding hosts putting on movie nights post racing.
 
Look forward to the next O'pen Bic event, great sailing for kids.
